At Greenhill Periodontal and Implant Specialists our goal is to provide up to date/state of the art treatment. We regularly review outcomes of procedures and travel nationally and internationally to participate in training of surgical procedures and materials.

Aesthetic Gum Surgery (treatments for gum recession)
Better known as periodontal plastic surgery there are several types of surgery that can regenerate/reposition gum to replace lost or receded gums.

Gingivectomy
A procedure used to eliminate gum pockets that can collect bacteria which cause gum/periodontal disease, usually performed on back teeth.

Guided Tissue Regeneration (Periodontal Grafting or GTR)
GTR/regeneration is carried out to regain some of the bone lost after severe periodontal disease has occurred on one or more teeth.

Crown Lengthening
A procedure carried out to lower the gum line around a tooth thus exposing more of the tooth for a dentist to prepare and insert a crown over the tooth. Alternatively this is done to remove excess gum that can grow around teeth particularly in younger patients after orthodontic treatment or patients on medication.

Dental Implants
Used to replace missing teeth by inserting a titanium rod into the jaw bone. Once this fuses with the jaw bone a porcelain crown can be screwed over the top of the implant thus replacing the lost tooth.

Bone Grafting (Guided Bone regeneration or GBR)
Bone grafting is carried out to replace lost bone usually prior to implant placement

Sinus Grafting
A form of bone grafting done in the upper posterior jaw to facilitate implant placement
