Dr Kardachi is one of the most experienced and well known periodontists in Australia. He has over 25 years of experience. He began his studies in Adelaide in the late 70s and then headed over to the United Kingdom and United States for several years to further his knowledge. He returned and started a practice in Adelaide. In the early 90s he returned to the United States to receive training in implantology. Since then, placement of dental implants has been an integral part of the periodontal practice.

Dr Kardachi has been the President of the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP) both at a state and federal level and the Australian and New Zealand Association of Periodontists (ANZAP). He is currently a Fellow/Teacher of the International Team of Implantology (ITI) and lectures both nationally and internationally. He is also a consultant at the Adelaide Dental Hospital were he supervises a portion of the clinical training of periodontal postgraduate students.

He is a member of the ADA (SA branch) and is accredited by the SA Dental board .
