About Dr Catherine Doyle
Dr. Catherine Doyle is a Periodontist with over 10 years of clinical experience. Throughout her career, she has practiced in a variety of settings, including private practice, defence force, university teaching hospitals, and government dental services.
Originally from Adelaide, Dr Doyle began her career in medical research at The University of Adelaide before transitioning to dentistry. She completed her dental degree at The University of Sydney in 2006. Following graduation, she worked as a general dentist in the Defence Force and in private practice. In 2011, she undertook specialist training in Periodontics at The University of Adelaide, receiving her Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in 2013.
After specialising, Dr Doyle worked as a Royal Australian Navy Periodontist at HMAS Stirling in WA, while also seeing patients in private practice. After returning to Adelaide in 2018, Dr Doyle has been working as a Periodontist for the Specialist Restorative Unit at South Australian Dental Service. In 2023, Dr Doyle also joined Greenhill Periodontics and Implants and continues to work in both public and private settings.
With her background in biomedical research, Dr Doyle maintains an interest in the links between gum disease and systemic health, particularly diabetes. During her postgraduate studies, she contributed to published research on the use of antibiotics in periodontal treatment and the effects of stress on gum health.
Dr Doyle provides the full range of periodontal care, including treatment for gum disease, soft tissue grafting, bone augmentation, and dental implant surgery.
Dr Doyle is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists, and Australian Society of Periodontology (SA).
